EXT. BACKYARD – LATE MORNING

STEP STEPS outside onto his BACKYARD. STEP looks at the HILLS of the COURNTRYSIDE.

The VIEW of the HILLS is CLEAR, except SMOKE rising from the BOTTOM of the end of STEP’s BACKYARD.

STEP SPOTS this and WALKS to the end of the BACKYARD. STEP looks over the FENCE down at the BOTTOM of a HILL.

At the BOTTOM of the HILL is a WRECKED VAN. The VAN has a DENTED ROOF, SMASHED WINDOWS (all of them), BLOW UP TIRES, and it’s TRUNK is WIDE open revealing a MISSING ENGINE.

STEP looks SURPRISED at the WRECKED VAN.

(shouting)

STEP looks to his LEFT.

His NIEGHBOUR COCO is at the end of her BACKYARD as well.

How are you this morning?

COCO

Not to bad, can’t say the same for someone

else.

STEP

Can you see anyone in there?

COCO

Not from here luv, I sure hope no one’s inside.

STEP

Should we call the police?

COCO briefly THINKS about it.

COCO

Perhaps, Teddy he might be able to lift it out.

STEP looks DOUBTFULLY at COCO.

STEP

I think it’s better if the police looked at this.

COCO
