Following Farrell

EXT. WATSON ROAD, BUNTER – EARLY EVENING

STEVEN is walking home from WORK, CARRYING a LARGE SHOULDER BAG and WEARING a TATTERD SUIT.

The TOWN is mostly QUIET.

STEVEN NOTICES INFRONT of him, FARRELL the HOMELESS MAN of BUNTER WALKING down the SAME pavement.

How to describe FARRELL – He WEARS the most TATTERED of clothes that he has WORE for MONTHS. His appearance overall is AVERAGE, you can lose him in a large crowd of people.

STEVEN and FARRELL have almost made it to EACH OTHER.

STEVEN TRIES to GRAB FARRELL’S ATTENTION

STEVEN

Hey man, what’s going on?

FARRELL brushes right past STEVEN, and walks at a FAST PACE away from him.

AT FIRST STEVEN continues walking, but does decide to see what’s wrong with FARRELL, as he usually isn’t this UNSOCIABLE.

STEVEN NOTICES an odd TRAIL OF BREADCRUMBS, that travels along the pavement and ROUND A CORNER.

STEVEN FOLLOWS the TRAIL OF BREADCRUMBS. As he TURNS ROUND the corner he is SURPRISED AT SOMETHING, that is NOT YET SHOW.

CAMERA TURNS to see FARRELL LYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, the BREACRUMBS leading to him.

STEVEN RUNS ALONG the PAVEMENT to get closer.

MEANWHILE FARRELL makes NO MOVEMENT.

STEVEN(distressed)

               Excuse me, Sir!

STEVEN STOPS RUNNING, and FACES FARRELL from the PAVEMENT.

STEVEN

               Are you ok sir! Sir!

FARRELL does not REACT to STEVEN in any way.

STEVEN

               Sir, you just going to lie there,

               do you need help?

STEVEN starts to APPROACH FARRELL in the MIDDLE of the ROAD. To STEVEN’S SURPRISE, the MOMENT he GET’S CLOSE to FARRELL, FARRELL STANDS UP and walks onto the OPPOSITE PAVEMENT.STEVEN WATCHES him go, then decides to FOLLOW him onto the PAVEMENT as well.

STEVEN

               How are you tonight.

STEVEN now standing right NEXT to FARRELL, PLACES his HAND on FARRELL’S SHOULDER
